Dinner in the Wild 2011: Night at the Museum took place on November 17, 2011 in the Automobile Building in Fair Park. With more than 1,700 guests present, MNS officials announced the completion of the Expansion Campaign to build the new Perot Museum of Nature & Science. The event featured a sneak peek of elements in the eleven exhibit halls in the new Museum and a few surprises. A "flash mob" of dancers startled and delighted guests and during a delicious dinner created by celebrity chef Kent Rathbun and a fast-paced live auction, Expansion Campaign Chair Forrest Hoglund and Campaign Vice-Chair Margot Perot shared the fantastic news that the Museum of Nature & Science had met its fundraising goal of $185 million, one year ahead of schedule.
