Public Programs
Chinasaurs extends beyond the boundaries of the exhibit hall to create fun and learning all around! Party, camp and slumber with these prehistoric creatures. The intrigue of the Far East boasts fun for all ages.
Dino-Camps
The Chinasaurs exhibit makes MNS Summer Camps even hotter! Camps run from June 13 - August 19 and offer a wide array of subjects and dates. Ages run from 6 months to 6th Grade. Dinosaur-themed camps include:
- Dino Detectives camp for Kindergarteners. These campers will get to conduct herbivore stomach experiments, make fossil molds and casts, explore dinosaur footprints and eggs, and untangle the "scales versus feathers" conundrum.
- First and Second Graders can get all the dirt on fossils during Paleo Primer camp. The pint-sized paleontologists will get special lab tours, conduct experiments on dino-stomachs, experience the ice age through DNA extractions, check out footprints, make fossil casts and molds and explore the latest link between dinosaurs and modern-day birds!

Dino-mite Birthday Parties
Book the member-only Chinasaurs party and double your fun! These parties include any of the party themes** and access to the Chinasaurs exhibition. It's a dinosaur adventure so big -- it's epic! (Last available date for Chinasaurs party: September 4, 2011)

May - September 2011: Mummies & Ancient Worlds
Get ready for a night of family fun when you join the Museum of Nature & Science for an all new Mummies Sleepover!
Unwrap the mysteries about one of the world's first civilizations, Ancient Egypt. This advanced culture arose about 5,000 years ago in the Nile River Valley in northeastern Africa. It thrived for over 2,000 years and so became one of the longest lasting civilizations in history. Explore ancient ways of writing as you learn to write your name in hieroglyphics, experience the IMAX® film Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs. and take a tour through the Far East in our all new exhibit Chinasaurs!
Activities, an evening snack and a light breakfast are all included in this NEW Sleepover adventure.
General Sleepover dates:
- Saturday, June 25

- Saturday, August 6
Cost: Kids ages 6-12 are $35 each and Adults are $20 each
