To assist you in nurturing your young child’s constant quest for answers and stimulating his or her vivid imagination, the Children’s Museum at MNS is happy to introduce Little Explorers. Programs created especially for your young child and you.

Scribbles and Dribbles Ages 6 months - 2 years SOLD OUT
Your child and you can explore the science of art. Experience theme-based activities that will focus on creative self-expression and help your toddler develop new skills through sensory explorations. Your child’s imagination will be enhanced through developmentally appropriate mixed media-based art projects.

• Perceptual development

• Encourage communication using imagination and entire body movements
• Social and emotional development

Shake, Rattle and Roll Ages 3-4 years
Your child and you learn to create beautiful music together as you explore the science of music. Explore the different sounds that musical instruments make Discover how sound travels to our ears. Create an instrument to take home.

• Practice listening skills
• Explore and differentiate sound patterns through singing, moving, listening and playing instruments
• Reinforce auditory, visual and comprehension skills
• Experiment with creating and playing music
• Increase social development
• Experience a wide variety of music including music within cultures

Science Buddies Ages 3-4 years SOLD OUT
All little scientists and their adults will have the opportunity to gather and organize information, make observations and enjoy hands-on explorations while discovering the BIG world of dinosaurs and the small world of insects!  Take home a science project each day.
