Student Classroom Programs

Need a cool earth science lab, a fossil experiment, a physics demonstration or a show about the solar system? Let the Museum work with your class for the day! Our job is to ensure that your students to have a hands-on science experience like no other. Our teachers are a highly motivated and creative group who will provide your students with an experience they’ll never forget. MNS offers a comprehensive range of education programs for Pre-K - 12 in each of the following science areas:

Physics and Engineering
Life Science and Chemistry
Earth and Space Science

There are three ways you can take advantage of our programs:

At the Museum
We can host you in one of our six classrooms or three auditoriums, depending on the type of class you choose and the size of your group. Best of all, when you purchase a classroom program your students get to explore our exhibit halls – for FREE!

At Your School
Too much trouble getting buses, check requests and parents’ permission slips? Let MNS come to you with our outreach programs provided on your campus. We can pack a lot of learning and fun in our MNS vans, so let us do all the work. No matter how far you are, we can find a way to get there.

After-school Adventures
Children’s minds don’t stop working at 3 p.m.! Engage and enlighten your students outside of the typical day with our after-school programs. Our 1.5-hour programs can be customized to your students’ needs. Programs need to be booked as a group with a minimum of four sessions. See After school Adventures for more information.

Student Classroom programs can accommodate 10-25 students, and large auditorium programs can be hosted for up to 250 students, depending on the topic. You pick the program and tell us your group’s size: we bring all the supplies for our exciting demonstrations or hands-on labs.
