Grand Prize-Winning Science & Engineering Fair Display

March 10-17, 2012
MNS Nature Building

Be sure to stop by the MNS Nature Building where we'll display the Grand Prize-winning projects from the Dallas Regional Science & Engineering Fair, representing the overall best in Life or Physical Science categories.

After winning school and district fairs, over 1,000 students from 20 Dallas-area cities exhibit projects at the regional fair. They are judged for creative ability, scientific thought, engineering goals, skill, thoroughness, and clarity by over 400 volunteer judges from area businesses as well as professional and academic organizations. All students who place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the science category qualify for the Texas State Science and Engineering Fair in April.

All Senior Division Grand Prize winners go on directly to the International Science & Engineering Fair, where they compete for over $4 million in prizes and the title of world's best science fair project. This year the International Fair, which is the final hurdle in a competition involving over 3 million projects worldwide, is being held in Pittsburgh in May.

*This is exhibit is free to MNS members and included with the price of general admission for non-members.
