PROGRAM RUNDOWN AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION

IMPORTANT:

  • A COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE will be held Saturday, August 28, from 1 – 3 p.m. at the Museum’s Construction Center, located at 1155 Broom St. Visitors are invited to view the building model, the schematic renderings of the facility and exhibit halls, and the construction site from the Observation Deck.
  • WEBCAM. Track the progress of the new museum by viewing the Construction Center webcam at natureandscience.org/expansion/default.asp.

RUNDOWN OF SPEAKERS (IN ORDER OF APPEARANCE):

  • Nicole Small – Welcome, introductions and overview

    Nicole Small serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Museum of Nature & Science where she directs all aspects of day-to-day operations, as well as the development of the new downtown facility. She has an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

  • Jennifer Houston – Building and exhibit hall highlights

    Jennifer Houston serves as Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Museum of Nature & Science. She serves as the Project Manager on the Museum’s Victory Park Expansion Project and oversees the implementation of the Museum’s strategic plan. Jennifer has an MBA from Harvard Business School.

  • Walt Zartman – Construction update

    Walt Zartman is Senior Vice President of Development for Hillwood Development Company. He is the senior officer in charge of the development management team.

  • Forrest Hoglund – Expansion campaign update

    Forrest Hoglund is Chairman of the Leadership Campaign for the Museum of Nature & Science. Forrest and his wife Sally have received numerous awards in Dallas and Houston for their continued commitment to philanthropy. Forrest also played a major leadership role in raising money for the highly successful expansion of the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
