Family Festival Days offer wonderful opportunities for families to learn about all that nature and science have to offer! Activities include games, hands-on activities, crafts, touchable specimens, live interactive exhibits and dialogues with local experts. PLUS, festivals are free for members!

Reptile Fest

Save the date for reptile (and amphibian!) fun

The reptiles are back! Rumor on the street is they had so much fun last year that they couldn’t wait to return for more—this time with their amphibian friends! At MNS, we think these slithery, hopping creatures are so fascinating they need their own weekend to shine.

Through interactive presentations by Wildlife on the Move, engaging activities, and hands-on crafts, you’ll explore the magical world of reptiles—from snakes and lizards to turtles. And with the help of the Dallas Zoo and Save the Frogs, you’ll also enjoy close encounters with frogs, toads, newts, and salamanders. So whether you crawl, slither, or hop on over, join us at MNS for a ribbiting great time!

Second Saturday Science - MNS Discovery Days

Second Saturdays are First in Fun at MNS Discovery Days, March–August

There’s always something special to discover at the Museum of Nature & Science and, during Discovery Days, you’ll find even more hands-on fun and amazing exhibits that will open your eyes to the science behind everything from prehistoric fossils to modern masterpieces.

These exciting daylong programs run from March through August on the second Saturday of each month – and they’re free with your MNS admission!
