Employees of Sponsor are not eligible to win any prizes. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules, Terms and Conditions (“Rules”) and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this promotion.

How to enter.  The Contest will consist of a serial story, a series of clue hunts in which clues are gathered by participants, and a series of prize drawings that will be held for qualified entrants.

Serial Story.  The Serial Story will consist of a series of stories (“Stories”) about fictional characters Josh, Emma (brother and sister), and Juan (Josh’s best friend), junior spies helped by the participants. Stories will involve a mix of puzzles, spy activities (including references to the clue hunt described below) and narrative. Stories will be published in all eighteen (18) issues of The Dallas Morning News neighborsgo papers, and the website www.neighborsgo.com, and www.natureandscience.org.  The Stories phase will commence May 2009 and continue until December 2009.

Clue Hunt.  The Clue Hunt phase will consist of a series of hunts (“Hunts”) held in conjunction with the different phases of the “Spy Adventure” during The Science of Spying exhibition run at the Museum of Nature and Science. Each hunt will lead participants to both physical and virtual locations to find clues (“Clues”). The physical Hunts will be held at the following Partners:  NorthPark Center and its retailers, DART retail location, Dallas Public Library branches and inside the 18 neighborsgo printed issues.  The virtual Hunts will be held at the following Partner websites (www.dart.org, www.neighborsgo.com, www.northparkcenter.com, www.dallaslibrary.org, www.northtexaskids.com and www.natureandscience.org/spying). The various physical and virtual locations will describe how to obtain Clues through such things as puzzles, tasks, and “spy”-related activities that need to be solved or created. Answers/solutions for Clues will be posted at the end of each phase. Each hunt will present a new set of Clues. All Clues will include a registration form for entry into the Prize Drawing phase.

Duration. There will be several Contest terms: Hunt 1 – May 8 - 25, 2009 and Hunt 2 – June 1 - August 30, 2009. All entries for each term must be made between: Drawing 1 – May 8 - 25, 2009 and Drawing 2 – June 1 - August 30, 2009.

Prize Drawings.  No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter a prize drawing. A purchase from Sponsor, Partners, or any other party will not improve chances of winning.

A series of separate random drawings will be held in conjunction with the different Serial Story/Clue Hunt phases throughout the Spy Adventure run at Sponsor. Each drawing phase will present a new opportunity to enter (entries from previous drawing phase will be discarded). The number of available prizes for each drawing phase will be pre-determined and posted on the MNS SOS micro site located at www.natureandscience.org/spying.

Each Clue will contain a registration form for use as an entry form into the prize drawing for that phase. The odds of winning will vary with the number of entries and the number of prizes available at such drawing. Completed entry forms must be delivered in person to Sponsor at the Museum of Nature and Science Science Building in Fair Park, located at 1318 South Second Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75315. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED BY MAIL, EMAIL, FACSIMILE, OR OTHER NON-PERSONAL TRANSMISSION.

Entrants may submit multiple entries, but only one entry for each unique Clue available during the relevant phase.

Drawings will not be public events, and winners will not need to be present to win. The number and value of prizes will vary. Drawing will be conducted through the random pulling of entry forms from the drop box and will take place mid-day on the drawing date noted. Only properly completed forms will be accepted, and Sponsor reserves the right to make such determinations regarding all forms. A separate drawing will be held for each prize available at the particular prize drawing. Only one prize per winner per phase.

The “Spy” names of winners will be posted on the MNS The Science of Spying micro site (www.natureandscience.org/spying) two days after each drawing. By entering, contestants consent to the posting of their “spy” names on such site, but no other personal information will be posted. Winners will also be contacted via the information provided on their entry form. Winners will have seven (7) days to claim their prize. Prizes must be claimed in person at the location of Sponsor. Winners claiming prizes will be invited to have their photo taken and posted on the MNS The Science of Spying micro site (www.natureandscience.org/spying), but photos are not a condition to winning.

Winners who are minors under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian provide a written consent to receive the winning gift and acknowledgement of the Contest’s official rules, which shall be included on the entry form, and must have a parent or guardian accompany them when claiming the prize. Sponsor may require contestants to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability and publicity.
